Our Crane courses are designed for persons who already hold a Dogging certificate. The course provides you with the legally required formal training required for the safe operation of the relevant crane, care and maintenance of the crane and lifting gear as well as calculation of loads and use of load charts.
Course participants at all levels are legally required to obtain documented workplace experience after undertaking the formal training and before the assessment can be undertaken and the licence is obtained.
Persons who would like to obtain a Mobile Slewing Crane licence up to 20 tonnes and have already gained experience ;in the crane operation have the option to attend our scope workshop (4th course day). The supervised scope workshops are specifically designed to provide the course attendee with a better understanding of the application of the theory training as well as we will take the applicants through the tasks outlined in our logbook and training plan.
With completion of the scope workshop and after evaluation through our trainers the applicant may be able to undertake the final assessment on the 5th course day.
If a person is not considered ready for the assessment, additional logbook experience can be gained after attending the course by attending additional workshops with us or at the workplace. The assessment can be re-scheduled to a later date at the applicant's convenience at no extra cost.
Course participants that would like to obtain a Vehicle Loading, Non-Slewing Mobile or Slewing Mobile Crane licence will be required to complete the logbook and training plan at the workplace.
