White Card / General Safety Induction Card
Any person that would like to carry out work on a construction site in Queensland is required to undertake a safety induction course and obtain a white card formerly known as the Blue Card. This certification is also registered in NSW, WA,VIC and SA.

- Carpentry
- Bricklaying
- Concreting
- Plumbing
- Roof, floor and wall tiling

Course topics
- Identify and understand roles, responsibilities and right of duty holders
- Understand OHS communication and reporting processes
- Apply principles of risk management
- Identify common hazards and control measures
- Interpret and apply safety information and documentation
- Use safe work practices Respond to OHS incidents
Course outcome
Successful applicants will be issued with a white card — formerly known as a blue card
Applicants will receive the certificate/ card on the day of the course.
The Queensland White Card is recognized in the following States: Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia.
ACT, Northern Territory and Tasmania do not currently have regulated requirements for construction induction training.
