This course is necessity for all people that work at heights.

The course covers the theoretical as well as practical aspect of choosing correct equipment, inspecting equipment, the correct us of harnesses, belts and anchore points, fall arrest devisees,
Ladders & Component parts and the overview of Legislation & Standards.


Course content:
                                            What classifies as "working at height"?
                                            What does the Legislation say?
                                            Case studies of unsafe work at height
                                            Site specific height work analyzes
                                            Risk assessment and hazard control 
                                            How to select the correct equipment
                                            How to inspect equipment for condition and safety 
                                            Introduction to fall protection equipment 
                                            Harnesses, belts, anchor points and your own equipment
                                            Explanation of the different fall arrest devices
                                            Safe work with ladders and roofs
                                            Viewing of unsuitable equipment

Undertake Vertical Rescue                                                           Unit code PUASAR004A

This is a national recognised course and suitable for persons that would like to gain the necessary skills to be able to rescue people who work at heights. Besides the obvious danger of working at height, height exposes rescuers to hazards they may not normally encounter on the ground.
When successfully completed this course, you will be competent to undertake rescue operations as part of an on site emergency response tem this includes: setting up site emergency response plans, selecting suitable equipment and having the ability of hauling and lowering a person to safety

                                             Ropes, knots and access equipment
                                             Rappelling and belay techniques
                                             Harness, belts, anchor points, david arms, tripods, 
                                             insertions/recovery equipment
                                             Unconscious casualty treatment
                                             Practical exercises performed of vertical rescue situations
